Material: PU (polyurethane) faux leather
This patch is made of PU faux leather: a polyurethane face layer that can reproduce grain and hand-feel close to genuine leather while keeping colour, gloss and thickness far more controllable — steadier cost, and much easier to keep consistent across a large run. The surface has a technical quality that suits a modern industrial design language, and unlike genuine leather it is not subject to natural hide variation, so one batch looks uniform.
Craft: screen printing with hot foil
The graphic is screen-printed: solid colour, clean edges, well suited to larger areas and multiple colours. Hot foil is added in the details, where its metallic sheen picks up light and lifts the overall feel. The lettering is a sans-serif — clean and assertive, in keeping with the patch’s modern industrial character. The combination is quick to sample, colours can be matched to a specified colour card, and batch-to-batch variation stays small.
